Old ladies should not drive

So yesterday I took off work for an hour to go get my new contacts. I was going to Weston and 401 to the Superstore because that's where I ordered it, but before that I had to run home to pick up my perscription. The fastest route from my place is to take Dixon east to St. Phillips and then onto Weston. I was waiting at the intersection of Weston and St. Phillips for the lights to turn green. Guess what happened? I was turning left (after the lights turned green of course) and when I was almost turned, this old lady ran a red light and slammed into me. I did notice her last second and accelerated and I think that helped with the collision. Otherwise it would have been even worse. She didn't even get out of the car. A another old lady who was sitting behind got out. I was asking her why they ran a red light. She is like "Are you sure we ran a red light?" . I'm like can't you see all the cars turning onto Weston Road? The driver lady got out only to hand me her info. Wrote down all the info, gave mine and then I left.
I took my car to the collision center. The estimated damage is $1200 because the rear quarter panel needs to be changed or fixed or whatever they gonna do with it.
Now I'm just waiting for the insurance company to finish their investigation so I can go and repair my car. Mainly I want to make sure that I won't have to pay the deductible.

Fun Fun Fun!!!!

The flu just keeps chasing me down

It all started on the weekend, when I woke up with a sore throat. I didn't pay much attention to it, just popped in a couple of throat thinghy and I was fine. But then Sunday night it hit me. I didn't go to bed till 5am. I just couldn't fall a sleep. I was tossing and turning. At 5am I gave up with the idea of sleeping however on top of my sore throat came the sneezing and coughing. So I sat down, wrote an email to my boss letting him know that I won't be in.
Today my throat doesn't hurt as much, but now my nose runs like a faucet.

DAMN!!

That's right!! 2 f**cking hours. Pat knows how far I live from work. Normally it is a max 10 minute drive, but NO, yesterday it had to take me 2 hours. Thank God I had Liz with me, so she kept me company, because otherwise I would have gone insane. And on top of it, I got stuck in the parking lot. My parking space was covered with 25cm of snow. Thanks to my handy little shovel I was able to dig the car out and park the car. What a day!
