Yesterday I came in to work around 8:30, but decided to go home around 11:20, to work from home. Ok, I didn't just come up with the idea, cuz my boss recommended our department to work from home, because of the bandwidht issue in the office.
I might say, it was a pleasant day, kinda felt weird working from home, but turned out ok. I was worried about being distracted and not be able to work, but to my surprise, I did finish my stuff and I only took one 5minute break.
In a way I wouldn't mind doing the same again.

It looks like stress got to someone. This "someone" calls in sick, after having a hard, stressfull day as the manager. Well really, who can blame "someone". I don't. I just call "someone" a "pussy" and hope I won't get killed :) jk.

Anyways it's not a good day, not a good week for anyone here. The internet is still slow, we are forced through a proxy to regulate traffic and sites are becoming unaccessible. It's just fun. Well I guess I won't suffer of "hard mental work made me brain dead syndrome". :)

UPDATE: Ok, this "someone" did come in to work, but of course late. Found this out after I walked over to his department and saw him. But then again he didn't bother to come over to my department to go for lunch or something :D

I can't say that I had enough of SuSe, cuz I always liked it, but it was time for a little change. My buddy, who is also a linux freak, tried Debian out a few days ago and was surprized as to how fast this thing was working. He kept talking about it so much, that I ended up downloading and installing the whole thing. So now I'm running Debian 3.1 (testing version. 3.0 is the stable one). At first it felt weird, cuz I got used to SuSe's "all you want you can do" gui configuration menus for fast configs. This one has some too, but not as many as SuSe did, so it took me more time to configure most of my stuff. In a way I'm glad that I had to do it from command line, because it was a good memeory refreshment.
Now don't ask me which linux distro would be the best for servers, cuz I'm not able to tell you. I have mixed feelings, but I can tell you this much: install the bare system, boot it up, get it to run and then install everything else from source. First of all you will know where you putting your stuff, second you know the exact switches you have given durring configuration, and third , you get smarter :)

Well as I said in my earlier entry, I was invited to this Hungarian restaurant, where they had an 80's-90's party after 10pm. I wasn't sure if I was going, but last minute I changed my mind, dressed and went. It was a good thing that I went. It turned out to be a good party which made me dance A LOT, and this is something I don't do that often. It turned out to be more of a workout then anything else, cuz Sunday morning I was like a dead man. Every bone in my body was hurting (well more muscle then bone).
Anyways, this was a sort of a warm-up for me. I will go to more parties, but I will still be selective.

Just found out that there is this nice hungarian restaurant on St. Clair and Dufferin. They are having a 80's/90's night on Saturday, packed with hungarian music and of course hungarian ladies. An old friend of mine, whom I haven't seen in over a year invited me. I guess I will be going. At least I know that it's not gonna be the usual club scene and I will actuall have a chance to hook up with someone normal.

Two of the suckiest languages ever. And I mean EVER!! It's been 8 working days now, and all I see is is asp and cfm extensions. I'm tired of repairing them. Whenever I try to figure out the code, it just doesn't make sense. Ah, and let's not even talk about mdb files that have absolute paths saved into them.
I'm just frustrated!!

Only if my previous employer would have taken off enough taxes, I would be getting back some money now!! Ok, $73 it's not a lot of money, but damn it, this is the first year EVER that I have to pay.

I just hate being confused!! Can't read the signs. I don't know what to do. AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
