I don't want to freak out, but this morning on my way to work a weird rattling noise started coming from the front right side of the car (after going over some bump on the road). This better not be something serious!!

For the second day in a row, my car doors were frozen in. Well at least on the driver's side. Thank god for the passenger side still opening, otherwise I would be locked out of my car.
I guess it's time for me to get some defroster or de-icer or whatever is called.

As of 7:30pm Thursday night I can legally drive my car :)
But I can tell you this much, fuckin' insurance companies suck, suck, suck.
I spent almost a week trying to find something reasonable. Since this is my first car, never had insurance, and didn't have my full G for over 3-4 years, most insurance companies didn't even want to talk with me. Other gave me ridiculous quotes like $540/month, $477/month, $360/month. Now give me a break here. I DO NOT want to live from paycheque to paycheque. So finally one of my co-workers told me to call State Farm. He bought a brand new car this summer and his insurance is only $200/month.
I jumped on the phone, called them. They didn't ask me since when do I have my full G, or did I have insurance before. All they cared about is if I have been licenced for 5+ years. And I have been. So the lady on the phone tells me that they do not offer auto insurace by itself. All of their policies are bundled in with either life insurance or renter's insurance. Well I don't need life insurance. I already have one. I asked her what would the two together come out. $223/month. 223???? Lady get the papers done, i'm coming down to sign it. And you pretty much know the rest.
