Hardest thing to do...

Try to imagine this situation:
I have this great-uncle here, who is 85 years old. He was the first one from the family to come out here in Canada about 45 years ago, if not more. He was the one who worked hard and helped other family members come here and start a new life. We are all grateful for that.
But due the fact that he is sufferint from Alzeimer's disease, he now got to the point where he requires 24 hour supervision just to make sure he doesn't do anything stupid.
It is really the hardest thing to do, but we will have to put him into a retirement home (or whatever you call it). All of us here in Toronto are just to busy to be able to look out for him. He will get into good, caring hands.
Now the only thing we hope for is that he will still remember our faces, that he will remember who we are....

Is the turkey in the oven?

So I'm working today, but I will take another day off. It's not a big deal, cuz I already had thanksgiving dinner. My uncle stopped having the traditional turkey dinner a few years ago. We just all hate dry meat. Instead he roasted duck. Yeah yeah, Duffy Duck. But again this year was a bit different. This time we "Wabbit Twouble". That's right, Bugs Bunny! It was DELICIOUS!! We ate it so fast, poor wabbit didn't even have time to do his famous line "Ehh, what's up, doc?"

No I don't like calling my friends dumbasses but when you cross the line, then you cross the line. So here it is this guy. We went to school together but we didn't finish at the same time because he was (and still is) Windows crazy and wanted to get some more server administration knowledge. So after an extra year and half of staying in school, specializing in windows you would expect him to know his shit. Well wrong!!
Ok he might not be an expert in hardware but when he goes out and spends $1000 on a few pieces of hardware, you would expect him to know why he is spending so much money on it. His selection was good, I do aknowledge that, but then he drops the bomb on me. He purchased a 256MB ASUS videocard (apparently NVIDIA chipset). Now he is not a gamer, so I asked him what does he need that for. His answer: "Well isn't that gonna make the screen look better?". WHAT???? So I had to spend a half an hour explaining to him what is the 256MB for. *Sigh*
