So I hit the snooze this morning and fell back asleep. I then dreamt that I had a REALLY good excuse for not going to work, and then got to sleep all day, I eventually got up in the afternoon and went to the zoo and it was the best day ever! But then I was woken up when the clock went off again after the snooze period expired, and I was dead tired and looking forward to staying in and sleeping, but I could not think of that reason for skipping work so I had to come in, and I was sad.

No Country For Old Men

01.16.08 - 05:45pm
mood: Apathetic
music playing: Hood - You're Worth the Whole World
"If you had people who the young people respect in this industry" Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Shia LaBeouf" if these guys did public service announcements that said, 'Don't steal, stealing's not cool,' I think you can go a long way toward stopping this." - Harvey Weinstein
Stupid old men, running media companies with that sort of mentality are reason why they can't make the technological leap to the 21st century.

U.N. Index On Human Development

01.14.08 - 09:26pm
mood: meh

Iceland has overtaken Norway as the world's most desirable country in which to live, according to the latest U.N. index on human development. Rich, free-market countries dominate the top places, with Iceland, Norway, Australia, Canada and Ireland the first five. The United States slips to 12th place from eighth last year in the U.N. Human Development Index, with the U.K. taking 16th place behind Austria at 15th. The index ranks 175 U.N. member countries, plus Hong Kong and the Palestinian territories.

Norway had held the top spot for six years, but was edged into second place by Iceland this year because of new life expectancy estimates and updated figures for gross domestic product.

Iceland, with a population of only 300,000, has developed rapidly. Its location as a desirable place to live is due, in part, to how it has harnessed its vast reserves of geo-thermal energy, invested heavily in technology and has a remarkably even distribution of income.

Movie: Untraceable

mood: meh
music playing: John Murphy - The Surface Of The Sun
Watching TV just now I saw a commercial for Untraceable, a movie I was already convinced was going to be completely stupid. This commercial did nothing to change that opinion. The climactic finale of the commercial features someone in a paniced voice exclaining:
"He got all the way into my wireless network!"
OHHH MY GOD NO! NOT THE WIRELESS NETWORK!!! How could anyone break into the most insecure connectivity option in the world? The drama!

(LOL cat iz on a wardrive craking urz WAP)
