Media Server

I was looking for a good DLNA media server solution for the past few weeks, and after trying and reading about quite a few different versions, I settled on Tversity for Windows. There were some Linux servers that were not mature enough yet, so I went with the dark side. Regardless even in its early stages Tversity is kick ass. The guy leaves much to be desired as it is very simplified for anyone's mom to use. But break open the command line and XML editor and you can tweak to your hearts content.

Along with my DLNA server I finally got around to configuring my wireless ethernet bridge for the PS3.

With those two key technologies in place I now have access to the extensive collection of music, photos, and movies on the desktop hard drives, wirelessly on the PS3. It works beautifully, I spent a good part of the afternoon watching Southparks MP4 videos streamed directly through the air, to the PS3, output to the plasma. It is so choice, I highly recommend this setup if you have the opportunity.
