This sunny Thursday, being my make-shift Saturday, required that I go out and do stuff. Luckily today, Monika had the day off as well. so with a partner in crime, on hand, we went downtown to chill and dill (I'm not sure what dill means...).

This downtown excursion was naught without goals. She needed to get a belt to go along with some buckle she bought in Buffalo. I needed some new summer pants.

After looking at a mere 2 stores I found the perfect pair of lightweight breezy summer pants that I needed. The belt on the other hand, that was a totally different story. I don't even recall how many stores Mon made me go into, looking for this "perfect" belt to go with her buckle. Well after my hunger crankyness had kicked in, she finally found a good belt at Spylab, so we dashed out of there for the purpose of getting some food, STAT.

Theres a new restaurant on Queen St. that I wanted to try called East, the menu looked interesting, so that is where we settled on eating. The food there was delicious, we got a variety of great tasting dimsum, and some shrimp rolls to die for, as well as some charming pad Thai noodles. Although the hilite of the restaurant was not so much the food (even though it was delicious like I said). No the hilite had to be the incident where Monika had a misshap with a glass door. She tried to open an already open glass door (I can't do the story justice in words, so if interested, ask me about it, I'll act it out and use elaborate hand gestures to make it funny), fitting description or not, the incident was histerical, I think I laughed at her till our drink orders arrived at the table.

After the food, we window shopped around a few more stores, and eventually got tired of all the walking and decided to adjourn back to my place. Where we watched The Machinist, after I told her she better watch it or else (I shook my fist), she quite enjoyed it, good times were had by all.
