One of my favourite art books of last year gets a follow up:
The book is already out in the publishers home land of Germany, hopefully I won't have to wait too long before the book shows up on our local bookshelves."Wonderland" is a stunning compilation of the very latest inspiring and surprising graphic design, illustration, photography and fine art from around the world that has just being released in North America. Focusing on dreams, the imagination, the surreal and the divine, it builds on themes introduced in dgv's well-received title from last year "Romantik."
But while "Romantik" mostly revolves around longing, "Wonderland" depicts dramatic occurrences and experiences. The fantastical work featured in the book is presented as a visual essay of captivating intensity.
Wonderland features work by the following designers and artists: Gints Apsits, Thomas Barwick, Nina Jan Beier, Cecilia Carlstedt, Marco Cibola, Container, Chris Duncan, Eike’s grafischer Hort, Maren Esdar, James Gallager, Croa, Richard Gray, Greyscale, Takeshi Hamada, Koen Hauser, Ngo Phuc Hien, Sei Hishikawa, Yoko Ikeno, Kareem Iliya, Inocuo Design, Simen Johan, Kiyoshi Kuroda, Inga Liksaite, Won Ju Lim, Lobo, Matte, Craig Metzger, mijuly, Maria Mochnacz, Nawel, Erwin Olaf, Linn Olofsdotter Costa, Pandarosa, Mikko Rantanen, Sophy Rickett, Speto, Toshifumi Tanabu, Taobot/Danny Franzreb, Sophie Toulouse, Vault 49, Sunday Vision, Txema Yeste, Liselotte Watkins and Autumn Whitehurst
