Movie: Catwoman

I'm paraphrasing here from a Catwoman TV commercial: it has been said, that when you die a cat can bring your soul back

Are you shitting me with that? Have they seriously gone and ripped off the whole premise of The Crow for this shitty shitty Halle Berry movie?
Dear god, I can't begin to tell you how much I hate this movie, and Halle Berry. You do know Halle Berry hates dolphins right?

2004 Canadian Federal Elections

This tinyurl found at the end of an email from the NDP, pretty much endeared them to me (not so much for the content that it points to, but to the fact that they are leet enough to use tinyurl :).
And to think I had gotten against them for not having platform policies concerning open source software. To date only the Green party has OSS policies. Although Layton has been very receptive to input from Canadian EFF/Copyrights-Canada members, and the future looks promising for that movement. Plus their site is XHTML/CSS/PHP based, which you know I like.

Oh right, and for those non-nerd topics that some people might want to base their decisions on(along with some colour commentary on my part):
Green party is pro OSS(yay!), anti cloning (booo!). They have insane energy ideas that have no chance of being implemented.

The Conservative's might be nazi's, I have no proof but have you noticed that Hitler "died" around the same time that Harper was born? Think about it.

NDP only party with sensible energy ideas.
"Developing a transition fuel strategy that maintains an adequate domestic supply of natural gas to replace oil and coal by directing the National Energy Board to ensure Canadian energy needs are met before allowing unlimited natural gas exports to the United States."
That might be the most significant piece of policy on anyones agenda. Seeing as how we're hitting a peak in oil production, peak in oil production, peak in oil production, a strategy needs to be put in place right away so that we don't get clusterfucked. Remember people, .89 cent gas was just the start of our energy problems.
They are anti military build up unlike the Liberals/Conservatives. Plus you have to love the fact that they take no corporate payoffs err I meant sponsorship err no wait I meant donations.

Liberals, well I guess it could be worse. Although joining the U.S. in a missile defence / StarWars 2, military spending spree seems like a really stupid way to attract the wrath of our neighbours enemies. As for the cut of the gas tax that our cities and small municipalities were suppose to receive, well that still hasn't happend but I'm sure if we give them a few more years maybe that will become something more than just alot of talk.

So in conclusion go vote have fun.
I'm just getting home, because being the party animal that I am; I had to step out for the night and partaaaaaaaay.

Unfortunately I have to be up for work in 4.5hrs. I'm going to be hurting tomorrow morning. Such is the plight of the partay animal that is still getting screwed over at his stupid stupid job.

Movie: Dodgeball

06.19.04 - 03:19am
mood: Amused

Dodgeball was so funny. So funny in fact that I laughed so hard I choked on some popcorn more than once, or more accurately, it happened twice. There's just something inherently funny about seeing people get hit in face with a ball, It never gets old, no matter how many times you see it happen.

If you liked Zoolander, then this movie will be right up your alley.
I'm glad to say that I'm ready to forgive Mr Stiller for that whole Along Came Polly fiasco.

Movie: Along Came Polly

Along Came Polly was the least funny and least romantic, romantic-comedy ever. I expected more from Stiller and Aniston. Sure the ferret in the movie was cute and all, but the rest of the movie was a slow paced, uninteresting bore.

Aniston needs to leave the romantic-comedy work to her boy toy Brad Pitt, since he is much better at those type of movies.
Okay this movie was so much creepier than the original that I don't even want to talk about it anymore, because I'm so freaked out right now... must turn on every light in the house and hide under the covers with Pinky! On second thought I need to throw on my Grind DVD and try and forget the damn thing. * whimper *
