This is my new toy, the Aiwa XP-SN70 CD/MP3 player.
My old CD/MP3 player is fucked, and on its last breath. The thing is so decrepit, that while it's in my pocket I can't even move with out it skipping like crazy. So I figured I was due an early xmas present, and went out to find one. The whole "finding" process took much longer than I expected though, in fact, finding this thing was harder than finding Eeyore's self-esteem (yes that was a Whinnie the Pooh refference). As I was saying, I looked all over the city and did not find one.
Then yesterday as a long shot, I decided to check in lame ass 905. And bingo they had 1 left at the Future Shop on Dixie and Dundas. But they could only hold it for one day. So this morning after work (8am) I headed down there. It only took an hour and fourty minutes to get there from as downtown Toronto as you can possibly get... well that is if the stupid islands don't count, cause those are technically more south... I guess... whatever.
Now I'm back home, eating fig newtons and playing with my new toy. You might be asking "What's so special about this thing anyways?", well buddy, you got alot of nerve sayign something like that!!! But, I'll answer anyways. It's a tough little CD player, in the Shockwave style, so I could kick this thing across the room and it wouldn't skip, It's also water proof, so I could partake in water sports and not have it electrocute me (no not THOSE kinds of water sport's silly, I'm talking about urinating on nude girls). It plays MP3's and Atrac3 files off CD's, and it can load up M3U playlists off said CD's. And it has a nice dot matrix display to show ID3 and Cd Text info, as well as the directory structure and files (display looks small on the picture, but it's actually not bad). It sorta looks like a big, fancy, digital, canteen in that picture, but I assure you it's small, canteen like, yes, but still small.
I'm quite sleepy so I think I'll hit the hay now. Enjoy this post while it's still random babble, cause I'm pretty sure I'll edit it to make actuall sense once I wakeup.
