Since Old man Chrétien shut down parliment for the fall, a few bills that were waiting for aproval from senate are agoing to die. Those bills include the decriminalization of marijuana, legalized same-sex marriages, and approval for stem cell research. So now we have to wait and see if Martin's new House reintroduces any of those bills.
At least the copyright extension bill is also sunk. So 50 years after death, is still the expiry date in Canada. I belive in the U.S, thanks to tree hugger Sonny Bono, it's something like 100-120 years. (get it, tree hugger? wakka wakka )
(another joke in this post, thats too clever and needs explaining: The O.m.C. a play on words of OMA and of the hit Fox Televison show The O.C. ...well I dunno if it's really a hit, the commercials for it have sure said that it is, so who am I to question them)
