Concert: Deftones - Minerva Tour

music playing: Deftones - Good Morning Beautiful
Deftones - Steff guitar pick
Today was the Deftones concert. Doors were at the insanely early time of 5:30pm, we didn't get there till 8:30 because quite frankly no one gave a rats ass about the opening bands.

They opened the show with Minerva, then went on to some old school favourites, such as Shove It, Around the Fur, then some Pins and Needles. It was a pretty good selection from their past four albums. Near the end of the night Chino took a minute to thank us old skool fans "Who have been listening to adrenaline for years now", he said this is for you and blasted off into Bored, at which point we proceeded to "tare the roof off the mother". From Bored they went right into an ear splitting rendition of 7 Words. When they hit the part of the song where it mellows, before blasting off into "squeal like a pig when you're, big fucking..." they inserted a musical interlude. An interlude in the form of a cover of Weezers Say It Aint So. It's not the first time I've seen them do that live, and regardless of my opinion on Weezer, I still enjoy hearing them do their version of it. After the interlude, they picked up where they left off on 7 Words, Chino yelled out "big fucking big fucking, AHHHHH!" and we all went nutty in that pit until the song ended. I think Chino was in the moshpit at this point, but from my point of view all I could see was the annoying 16 year old girl I was punching in the back for flailing her legs while body surfing(bitch hit me in the face[and this was after Chino said "hey retarded newbie kids that's not proper body surfing etiquette" - paraphrase]). Anyways after 7 Words they then kicked into a new song and I can't recall what else, and then it was all over.

To wrap things up. They had a really solid setlist, that lasted a bit over two hours, and I quite enjoyed myself. Of course there are other songs I wish they would have played, but alas when you have four albums under your belt you can't squeeze everyone's favourites into one show... unless you have a 5hr show... which I would not at all be opposed to. The last thing I'll mention is that I caught one of Steffs guitar picks, so YAY me : )

mood: Amused

As I was leaving work, I passed by the security guard in the lobby who had just got up to go make her rounds for the morning. When she started walking towards me the first thing that poped into my mind was to say "Hey Charlies Angel", at the mere thought of that I cracked my self up, in fact i was barely able to containg the laugher.

From her perspective of the event all she saw was me walk past her smile and nod. So needless to say she was swooning after getting some attention from this guy.

Now I'm going to sleep till the cows come home. Gnite

This might be the grosest food product ever conceived.... well maybe slightly better than that mint Sprite. But it's still pretty horrible sounding.

Also of interest on this boring night of work (I'm covering someone's shift [I don't usually work Fri's cause the ladies would just not stand for that]). So anyways I'm all bored at work, but then Jcloth droped by, since he's an employee and is allowed to be here, thats all I'll say of this subject. It's not like he brought company with him. And we didn't sit around and kill a few hours of this boring ass job eating Gold Fish crackers. Nope that didn't happen.

And I almost forgot to mention that since the company is paying for my lunch today I got DOUBLE cheese and DOUBLE meat on my BLT and also two, thats right TWO rasin oatmeal cookies!! That's livin large baby!! ....BOOYA!!!

Washroom hijinks

mood: meh
music playing: Biz Markie - Just A Friend
Minutes ago, I had to go use the washroom (calm down ladies, there's more to the story). Instead of going ALL the way to the other end of the floor to use the guys washroom I decided to be lazy and use the girls washroom which is just outside the door from where I am sitting. It was a crazy wild ride in there, it felt wrong being in there and that just made the whole trip all the more fun. I'm going to have to do that more often... well, at least untill the eventual lawsuit, from when I endup walking in on a chick in there.
As a little treat for the girls, and to let them know that an interloper was in there, I left the seat up wahahahahah >:{)

Now that I'm commuting downtown for purposes of work, I get to spend alot more time on the TTC, with stylish females of the opposite sex. And apart from noticing the overwhelming amount of looks they are giving me, I've also started noticing some nice new fashion trends, that really I'm digging.
The big thing this season seems to be thin 2 inch heels, on pumps and boots. The girls that know how to work the heels look noice and toight in em. The wobbly ass, tomboy bitches that have never worn heels before and cant keep their balance because they are nothing but false fukcing facades, they look bad in em. Fitted pinstripe pants also seem to be quite popular, when the girls match that up with a nice fitted white blouse they look smooooking (ex-catholic school boys, you know what I'm talking about, with the fitted white blouses ;). Also this season the new black seems to be... black! So I'm totally in style right now. And on that note, ladies, if you need an accessory to match your outfit, just give me a shout. They don't call me capitan back slap for nothing.

Since Old man Chrétien shut down parliment for the fall, a few bills that were waiting for aproval from senate are agoing to die. Those bills include the decriminalization of marijuana, legalized same-sex marriages, and approval for stem cell research. So now we have to wait and see if Martin's new House reintroduces any of those bills.

At least the copyright extension bill is also sunk. So 50 years after death, is still the expiry date in Canada. I belive in the U.S, thanks to tree hugger Sonny Bono, it's something like 100-120 years. (get it, tree hugger? wakka wakka )

(another joke in this post, thats too clever and needs explaining: The O.m.C. a play on words of OMA and of the hit Fox Televison show The O.C. ...well I dunno if it's really a hit, the commercials for it have sure said that it is, so who am I to question them)

Ops birthday

11.15.03 - 04:33am
mood: meh
music playing: Christina Aguilera - Beautiful
As previously mentioned, it was Op's birthday today. We went down to some bar in the entertainment disctrict... I don't recall it's name but it's on a corner somewhere. But ya, thats where we went to celebrate. It was plenty of fun, Anky who hasn't been seen in years was there, it was a hoot, eventhough no ladies tried to lick me.
Around 2:30, Jcloth and myself, started feeling slightly tired and hungry, so we fled the scene with one of the party goers. Now I don't want to name names so let's just say that the party goer, who I'll call F. Fly... no wait thats too obvious... Fairy F. ya that's more subtle. Anyways this "Fairy F.", she had a bit too much to drink, actually I belive the british term for it is "smashed". So Jcloth offered to drop off this "smashed" "Fairy F." but first we had to get food. So we headed towards Front and Jarvis, for the 24/7 Golden Griddle. En route to said Griddle we drove by the Metro Convention Center, where there was a gaggle of liberals holding these thin paddles that read LIBERAL on them. So I quickly rolled down my window while Jcloth honked his horn at them. As soon as they heard the horn, they all turned to "WOOOOOH" at us and as soon as the "WOOOOH" died down I yelled out "NEEEEEEEEEEERRDS" at them. I laughed so hard I weeeezed, Jcloth was laughing his ass off, and "Fairy F." was in the back seat barely concious, bad mouthing Christina Aguilera, and missing out on our shenanigans.

This is taking too long to write, so to cut this story short: "Fairy F." upchucked at the Golden Griddle, so we fled that place. Dropped her off, then headed down to good old reliable Sizzlin Jacks. Where good food was had.

Ohh ya one more thing - "Fairy F." doesn't know the difference between retro and cover songs. What's up with that?

All I have to eat is 1/2 of a BLT sub, since I already ate the other half. And there's no food place open anywhere near here at this time of night... and I'm REALLY hungry. So in other words I'm pretty much screwed. Unless someone is planning to drive into the area and wants to drop by with some foodstuff :)

Somewhere between my house and 1 Younge St. Is my cellphone. I don't know fuckin where exactly, but it's there somewhere.... argh.

I have 5 phone numbers memorized and my home one isn't one of them. So ya, ICQ/EMAIL/braile me your phone # if you want to hear from me... if not then screw you :P

(the funny part is last week I was thinking to myself that I should backup the numbers on the SIM card since I didn't have that data saved anywhere else)

I needed to get something to eat so I ran across the street and bought three, one dollar burritos. I now have a Leonardo Leonardo style, sense of impending doom. Maybe I should have sprung for the "expensive" burritos instead.

Moonlighting

mood: meh
music playing: Dust Brothers - Medula Oblongata
What follows is a peek into a night spent at my night job, moon-lighting from Noizex.

10:12pm - Got to work late. What's up with that?

11:30pm - Jcloth left, after he was unsuccesfull at getting the stupid ass DSL USB modem to work with the G4. So I'm now stuck without a box to use for listening to shoutcast streams : (

12:44am - Lights went out on this floor, had to go to the Big Button® to get the circuit breaker...breaking? or doing whatever it is that the Big Button® does to make the power turn back on.

12:57am - Called customer to tell them their router was down.

01:10am - First phone call since before midnight. Lasted 3min.

01:56am - Replied to corp customers email. Not sure what to do with the email once its been replied to...

02:10am - Talking with DC about Noizex business plans.

02:35am - Came up with the funniest of ideas. Register, nestedmatrix.com and put up a one page site with an H1 header that reads "You were wrong suckers!!"

03:35am - I'm starting to get sleepy and restless. Must walk around to stay awake.

03:49am - If not for the video camera in here, I think I could use this time to practice my break dancing. Actually I should rephrase that to, learn to break dance and then practice said dancing.

04:01am - Made me some nice orange peacock tea... mmmm tasty.

04:20am - DC says I'm not making any sense, while I try to explain the virtues of faceted classification as the best form information architecture for our needs. I beg to differ... on the making sense part. I strongly belive I still make sense. Although I really wish I could go to sleep right now.

5:53am - Got a phone call!! User can connect but can't browse or do anything else online. I WOULD reinstall DUN if the douche wasn't running XP. Ran the M$ recommended TCP "restore" tool instead.

6:36am - Some guy from sales showed up. Why would he be here at this time? Who knows, it's not like he can fucking call people to sell shit at this time... or can he?

7:49am - Just went to the washroom and saw todays paper lying on the floor. And it says that Miller won. So yay me, I don't want to sound self-important or anything, but I'm pretty sure it was MY vote that put him over the top. That is of course unless he screws up. In that case I'll disavow any knowledge of having voted for him.

8:01am - Antony is here, and giving me the evil eye for being at "his" computer. Memo to self: Tell Jcloth to use this computer tomorrow and eat a big plate of canaloni and leave a big mess all over the desk. wahahahahahahaahahah... I go home now.

Neo put an end to the war, just as Morpheus told us he would. Sure alot of things were left unanswered, but thats for another day. Were my theories all wrong? I dont know. But they weren't discredited at all. So maybe one day we'll find out.

It's definitely going to take a few more viewings to absorb it all.

I'll write more later, but I just got home, and I'm tired. So I'll sign off for now....... [lost carrier]

What is the matrix?

11.04.03 - 11:36am
mood: meh

The final chapter of The Matrix comes out tomorrow, and I've yet to write up my rebuttal to what Rebus wrote. So I'm just going to lay down the .50 cent version of my theory and then see if I'm right tomorrow.

After seeing Reloaded and part one, a few times over the past few weeks. I'm still sticking to most of what I wrote about it back in June when I first saw Reloaded in theaters. And that theory is basically that they are stuck in nested Matrices. Neo realized this and they now need to bust out of it and into the real world.

Neo won't be able to destroy the Matrix though because the shock of being unplugged could be disastrous to the billions of people stuck in their pods. So Neo will need to take control of the Matrix, and unplug those that accept the truth. The minds that can't be freed, can be left to live out their lives inside the simulation. Eventually they will die off and there won't be anyone left inside the system.

If that is what happens though, then we have to wonder how much of what the machines have told us is true. Was there a war of man vs machine? Did we blacken the sky? Does the earth look like a crispy shit hole? Who knows. We have to wait till tomorrow to find out.

Halloween 2003, Cont'd

mood: Hyper
music playing: Papa Roach - M-80
I'm just getting back from the Halloween partying. What follows is my recap of the events that transpired: we went out, we danced, we ate pizza we went home. Now for my critiques; Most over done costumes were catholic school girl, slutty nurses, and playboy bunnies. Although I did see a refreshing twist to the catholic school girl, the Slutty catholic school girl. This girl was wearing a tiny kilt and an even tinier thong, good lord when she got up on the stage to dance in a drunken stupper I could see up her uterus. Not that I'm complaining mind you, she had a fine ass, but it was still a shamefull display. Oddly enough I only saw 2 slutty french maids, usually theres alot of those. The coolest costume by far, was a girl dressed as Mortal Kombats Sindel. She had the streaks and the outfit, and, well, thats pretty much what Sindel has, hair and an outfit, so she NAILED it.

A bit before we left, the dj played back to back: Beastie Boys - Sure Shot, Cypress Hill - Insane in the Brain, House of Pain - Jump around, that coupled with the fact that he also played Mansons - The New Shit, and Slipknot - Wait and Bleed, dangerously close to each other; Left me hyper as when the boys get the syrup in 'em. But now I'm kinda winding down, winding down as in crashing, so G'nite bitches. See you at ma' party tomorrow.
