Yesterday me and Chris attended the 2003 Ski / Snowboard show. It was a fun time, as always, lots of walking was involved, and insanely overpriced drinks and food stuff were consumed. But the deals we found were nothing to be scoffed at. I acquired some Burton gortex laden gloves, and a nice tshirt for practically nothing, as well as a nice new Lock that I was in desperate need of. I was also in the market for a pair of goggles and a helmet (to be safe when trying some of the riskier jumps we have planned for jcloths "snow park"). But, I didn't find anything that didnt look ugly as Lise(OUCH! that came out of nowhere ;) so the hunt continues.
We also picked up alot of brochures and pamphlets for the big mountain resorts in Alberta, BC, and Quebec. I'm dying to try out some of those hills, they look so damn sweet. It's clear to me now, that I must get my hand on a wad of cash so I can hit one of them this season.

Later that night, we headed down to the Opera House, for a little party that Snowboard Canada Magazine was throwing. It was their 8th annual party and film premier, but it was the first time anyone had told us about it! Anyways, it was a good party, plenty of honeys and Evian. They also had a ton, and I mean a TON, of swag given to them by all of their sponsors to get rid of. So they were doing raffles all night, I think they gave away something like 8 boards, including an autographed Sims Fader board featuring a nude Jenna Jameson. They also gave away DVD's tons of clothes, toques, jackets, etc. It was a mad house, and all we ended up with were 2 DVD's :( Next year I'm buying 10 entrances just so I have a better chance of getting a wining ticket number!!

Of the two movies they premired the first one was quite good, the second one was nothing special. Reflections, was the first, it was a 16mm piece, and I highly recommend it. If it didn't cost 39$ bloody dollars I would have picked up a copy. The second movie was so memorable I can't even recall it's name. So obviously Reflections is the way to go.

That about wraps up the snowboarding weekend of fun. To recap, Reflections is a great movie, and I need a wad of cash to hit the big hills this season ;)
