So I was watching the ol' television, all the way out in the livingroom, and saw an ad for that Axe men's body spray. Now I had seen this commercial before and had found it amusing, so I didn't flip away when it came on. For those that don't know the commercial, it shows girls in different countries saying things like "I could listen to you talk about football all day", "It's not your fault I'm just always early", and other such amusing things that girls would not be saying. Because the girls are in other countries they shockingly speak different languages... NON-english languages. So for us to know what they are saying we are given subtitles to follow along. Well we Canadians are. For you see the version I saw was aired on a U.S. station, and they modified the commercial to fit their target country. The modification involved taking out all the crazy foreign languages, so people wouldn't have to read those pesky subtitles. I guess they were afraid that by having "words" on the screen the commercial would shoot right over the heads of a large percentage of their viewing audience.... come on everyone, chant with me, U - S - A, U - S - A....
