I love it when I explain a concept called "common sense" to someone and the next day they show me that it went in one ear and out the other. Well, maybe it took a detour and came out their ass instead. Maybe they should put their head back there to ensure it doesn't.
Scenario - I explain to a project manager that even if they THINK they will be bringing in a contractor I should be notified. Then I would actually have, you know, *time* to set something up.
Theoretical Result - I get an email two weeks before said contractor starts and am able to prepare a workstation.
Reality - "I apologize for the short notice. It was agreed late yesterday that the contract writer would come in today and for most of next week to work on the project. Would it be possible to setup a computer for her today?"
I hate people.
