Chica decided to show some life and actually came over for a day of fun. uhmmm.... well at least I found our day interesting, even if she didn't!!

anyhoo...

Imagine a full day spent by eating at Taco Bell, going to Canadian Tire to get the supplies needed and working to get your 1977 Moto-Ski Mirage 300 working after more than 5 years of inactivity.

I've even been in contact with the person from www.theworkshop.ca and we've been shooting the shit about owning a vintage snow mobile.

When I was finally able to start it, the exhaust was a plenty and it would shut off moments later. To get the fuel running, I had to suck... and suck like I never have baby!!! I think I might have even ingested a bit of the oil:fuel mix. Nothing a little gin and bourbon can't clear up.

It looks like what he did in this workshop is what I have to do to mine. Replace the fuel filter, clean the fuel pump and clean the shit out of the carburator. I also took a look at the pistons and could see dents from when I put over-sized spark plugs in (ahh... memories).

Once I get that done, it should purr like a kitten again. The only thing left is that the seat needs to be replaced, but I'll worry about that one 5 or so more years from now :P

...one last funny thing...
It was pretty funny asking a guy who's at least 10 years younger than the snow mobile itself, where the oil is for the fuel mix.
